Back at it
Travis Frank
I got back into town tonight with enough time to get out on the water with a couple of hours of daylight. We bought minnows this evening and had every intention of just going after walleyes. It is during this time of the year that I start to get antsy for some fresh fish, and I almost took the muskie poles out of the boat. We fished for about an hour before darkness fell and had nothing in the livewell to show for our efforts. It wasn't that they weren't biting, but tonight they were a bit on the short side. The entire time my fishing partner kept looking at me goofy asking me if we really weren't going to go for muskies. I guess all it took was me seeing that moon rise over the trees and I couldn't stand the 12 inch walleyes any longer. We went to the first spot on my list of many and started casting. About 5 casts into the ordeal I was able to laugh at Tim for his missing one, since "he never misses them." It wasn't 5 minutes later that we were taking pictures of my mid 40"er instead of his. We made this our first spot and our last spot of the night. I would have liked to stay out all night and chase em around, however 5am rolls around quite early.
I should have some more pics and stories soon, since I am back in town for a couple of days. Until then, FishOn!
